Three sanctuaries. One is likely calling you.

Setting and time narrow the choice more than anything else. Peru hosts 7, 14 and 21-day programmes year-round; Mexico offers shorter 4 and 7-day formats by season.

Held by an unbroken lineage.

In Peru, every ceremony is led by Shipibo maestros and maestras who learned the medicine from their elders, as their elders did before them. Their icaros — healing songs — guide the night. The patterns woven into their textiles, called kené, are said to be those songs made visible; you’ll find one on the wing of our butterfly.

In Mexico, ceremonies are held by Maestra Jazmín Pineda, a Mazatec medicine woman and daughter of Abuela Julieta Casimiro, and by Marakame Juan, a Wixárika peyote carrier from San Andrés Cohamiata.

Maestra Justina has lived with ayahuasca for more than forty-five years; together, our master shamans carry over a century of experience.

Every one of these stories began with a single question. Which retreat is right for me?

Questions, answered honestly.

If yours isn’t here, an advisor will answer it personally — no pressure, no script.

How does Arkana keep guests safe?

Every guest completes a detailed pre-arrival medical screening, reviewed under the oversight of Dr. Arturo Sáenz, MD. In ceremony, experienced facilitators are with you throughout, and the staff-to-guest ratio is deliberately high. Since 2014, more than 4,000 guests have been guided through this same careful process.

This would be my first time. Is that all right?

Yes. Many guests arrive for their first ceremony. You’ll receive preparation guidance before you travel, an orientation and intention-setting on arrival, and facilitators who explain each step. The Retreat Finder also takes your experience into account when it recommends a sanctuary.

Which medications or conditions would prevent me from attending?

Some medications — including SSRIs and MAOIs — and certain medical conditions are contraindicated. The screening process reviews your history before you are confirmed. Please never stop or change a medication without speaking to your own doctor.

Amazon, Sacred Valley or Mexico — how do I choose?

It mostly comes down to setting, time and the medicines you feel drawn to. The Amazon is the most immersive; the Sacred Valley offers mountain air and more comfort; Mexico offers shorter, intimate seasonal formats. The Retreat Finder weighs all of this in about two minutes.

What is included in the price?

Accommodation, farm-to-table meals, unlimited fruit, water and tea, all ceremonies, shamanic consultations, yoga, breathwork and sound healing, integration workshops, excursions and your airport shuttle. Flights, travel insurance and hotel nights before or after are not included.

How do I get there?

Amazon: fly into Iquitos (IQT) the day before; a complimentary shuttle leaves a designated hotel at 8:00 AM. Sacred Valley: fly into Cusco, with shuttle transfers included. Yucatán: fly into Cancún (CUN); the hacienda is about 2.5 hours away, with an optional shuttle. Valle de Bravo: about 2.5 hours from Mexico City airport. Your passport should be valid for six months beyond arrival.

How large are the groups?

Intimate by design: around 14 guests on average in the Amazon, 10 in the Sacred Valley and 15 in Mexico, with a high staff-to-guest ratio at every sanctuary.

What happens after I go home?

Integration continues through Arkana’s 8P integration method, online integration masterminds and one-to-one aftercare, so that what you experience becomes part of everyday life.

Is the Retreat Finder a medical assessment?

No. It is a fit-and-preference tool that suggests where to start. Formal medical screening is a separate step before any booking is confirmed.

Your path is already asking.

Begin with two quiet minutes. You’ll receive a personal Retreat Profile — and the freedom to decide what comes next.
